1.A- Storage of flooring boxes before opening

For long term storage, keep the flooring planks in their unopened packaging. Do not store them outside.

1. B- Storage of planks before installation

72hrs before laying down the flooring, open the box, take the planks out and store them following drawing. This will allow the flooring to stabilize at the room weather condition.






2- ROOM PREPARATION

2. A-Room concrete floor

Before starting installation, you must ensure that:

concrete floor is perfectly dried

concrete floor flat variation in height must not exceed 2-3 mm per meter

Bamboo flooring is suitable for use in rooms with normal level of humidity.

2. B- On what surface to install bamboo flooring

You can lay down bamboo flooring directly on top of plastic floor covering, linoleum, wooden floors, tiles and concrete. You should remove thick carpeting before laying the floor. Remove floor moldings and skirting if possible and do necessary adjustments to door frames

3- STEP 1: UNDERLAYER AND HOW TO START INSTALLATION

3. A- Underlayer

You must lay down one under layer (min thickness: 2mm) between the concrete and the flooring.
This under layer is for moisture barrier and sound proofing.

3. B- How to start?

Put the flooring perpendicular to the window (or the main window if many). And put the flooring perpendicular to the under layer. Start with both groove sides of your plank put along side both walls.


4- STEP 2: EXPANSION GAP AND PLANK ASSEMBLY AT TOP/END

4. A- Expansion

To enable the flooring to expand during use, leave a gap of min 8mm
(or 20 mm for very humid countries) between the floor planks and walls or other fixed installations as steps. If walls are not straight, you must ensure that this expansion gap is never below 8mm (or 20 mm). To ensure width of expansion gap during the installation process, you can use shims between wall and flooring. For room of more than 12 meters long or more than 8 meters wide, the flooring must be laid in sections with extra expansion gaps.


4. B- Plank assembly at top/end

Follow drawing instructions to assembly planks










4. C- When you reach the opposite wall

When you reach opposite wall, follow drawing instructions to cut last plank and restart from the beginning.

5- STEP 3: PLANK ASSEMBLY ON THE SIDE & GLUING

5. A - Plank assembly

Follow drawing instruction to assembly plank on the side.






5. B - Gluing
Gluing of tenon / groove is optional but will ensure better product stability. If you do glue, use a standard "wood glue" or PU glue and apply following drawing. Apply 3 small glue drops on the groove side of one plank and assembly it to the tenon of the other plank. Use white spirit or alcohol 90 to immediately remove extra glue coming from the assembly.

6- STEP 4: LAST PLANK INSTALLATION

Last plank cut and install

To  cut  and  install  last  plank,  follow  drawing instruction.  After last plank is installed, remove all shims used for expansion gap. Test to make sure that doors will open easily over the new floor.

7- SKIRTING

Any kind of skirting can be used and installation must respect expansion gap of the flooring (thickness of the skirting must be higher than the expansion gap).

8- TAKE CARE AND CLEANING

Vacuum or clean with damp floor mop. For stubborn mark, you can use a little acetone.
Do not use cleaning liquids that contain wax, oil or polish. Always mop up water spills or drops. Use a doormat to protect flooring from grit and grime in rooms subjected to heavy wear and tear. Avoid water to contact directly the floor.
Avoid installing bamboo floor in high humidity area.

II. Instruction for using

TBF floorings should not be installed at the high humidity place such as bathrooms or saunas.

It should be used for the second floor and over.

The good-looking and durability can be assured in the stable environment.

At the balcony area, TBF flooring should be installed indoor in order to avoid water. The threshold must be 2-3 cm higher than the floor of balcony which has to be equipped with the lean-to and well done drainage to ensure the dry for TBF flooring.

At area bordered the bathroom and toilet; it should be furnitured with the stone threshold or other water-resistance materials to prevent floorings from being permeated.

Chair legs (or wheel chair legs), high heeled shoes and other spiky furniture which are frequently exposed with flooring have to be protected with plastic or felt gaps.

Avoid bringing dirt, water and sand from outside by using a doormat.

Make sure there is a suitable humidity in the room. If necessary, use a humidifier, air-conditioning to stabilize the temperature.

Never use other cleaning product or detergents.

For dry maintenance, use a duster of vacuum cleaner.

Never let water, chemical, or other liquid exposing directly to flooring.

Never nail or screw into flooring.

Do not pull sharp and spiky furniture on surface of flooring.
